About MinnPoly
The Minnesota Polytechnic and Applied Learning Institute (MinnPoly) offers students the opportunity to learn-by doing. It is the first and only polytechnic institute in Minnesota.
Hands-on projects, co-ops, internships, and applied research allows students to experience how theories combine with application and gain industry experience while developing their skills. This is accomplished by closely collaborating with businesses and industries to understand their needs and provide quick and nimble responses. By responding in this manner, individuals seeking skills for employment or professional growth, as well as employers seeking top talent can connect and explore the next opportunity for success.
This unique advantage prepares graduates to develop solutions to complex problems and respond to the rapidly changing needs within our communities, industries, and society. Through collaboration with industry, education, communities, and other partners, students develop into resilient professionals who have a passion to create, a mind to innovate, and the skill to activate.
A network was needed to reach and respond to the needs of Minnesota. Fortunately, the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System provides a robust catalog of partner institutions across the state to respond to local, regional, and statewide needs of industries, communities, and individuals. Leading the development, Minnesota State University, Mankato created the model for statewide implementation. With an eagerness to aid Minnesotans, partner intuitions within the state raised their hand to join the journey.
