The Minnesota Polytechnic and Applied Learning Institute (MinnPoly) is the first and only polytechnic institute in the state of Minnesota and it is fortunate to be part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities System.
The Minnesota State System allows for partnerships and collaborations with other educational institutions, communities, and businesses/industries in varying geographical locations throughout Minnesota. MinnPoly’s ability to collaborate throughout Minnesota provides additional opportunities for a variety of students to experience our unique approach to learning, while gaining a quality, affordable education, and preparing for a successful career.
MinnPoly’s approach supports local economic development by working in partnership with local industries to provide curriculum, training, and development for the workforce. It also helps students to identify specific career pathways and opportunities, as well as become confident and skilled in project-based and experiential learning. Our curriculum is developed in partnership with businesses to algin with industry standards and trends to prepare students for the essential skills necessary to be successful in today’s workforce.
Partnering communities are able to deepen community connections, expand their social and economic well-being with service-learning, and develop solutions to complex problems ranging from infrastructure to communication. Collaborations create a community where people want to live, work, and play.
